The wheel of your office chair is an important part. You can't imagine the chair rolling around quickly without it. So proper cleaning of wheel casters is an important task. If you skip it then you have to make yourself ready for walking on your feet although it is a corner of your desk.
As you know that most people prefer to clean seats and other things but they skip the most important task to clean the wheels on which the chair rolling depends totally.
It frustrates when the caster wheels are filled with dust and dirt. It opposes the chair to zip around the room. The wheel stop working and it creates more struggle while you force the chair to roll.

1. Keep the chair upside-down
First and foremost, take upside down your chair and access the wheels to get them off. It is a simple process in all office chairs as it takes a few seconds and you don't need a second person to execute this process.
On the other hand, if you have heavy types of chairs then it is better to take the help of a second person. Big and tall chairs are often needed heavy hands to change their position.
2. Take the Caster Wheels Off
It is a second simple process when you are going to clean the caster wheels. Simply grab the caster and pull it out from the base of the office chair.
Most of the office chairs have removable wheels. Just try to pull it with little force. If it still does not come out then you can rotate and then apply with a different angle. Once the wheels have come out from the chair base, you can start the cleaning process.
3. Start cleaning the casters:
A dirty chair wheels can stop your chair from rolling here and there on the floor. When the dirt and hair get their place in the chair wheel, it stops them from functioning properly. You can easily avoid the problem by fallow step by step process.
- First and foremost, dismantle the wheels with the help of a screwdriver and open them.
- You will find their dust and use your finger very carefully to get it out as much as you can remove it.
- Then pick a blade or kitchen teezer and cut the hairs which is the main reason to stop wheels.
- If any of the dust remained there and your finger and blade are unable to reach them, use a long needle to get it out.
So that is a simple theory which you have to perform while cleaning the casters. After cleaning one side, make focus on the others side and perform the same process so far and clean both side casters.
